How do I add annotations to my digital binder using Bundledocs - Video

Bundledocs electronic closing binder software makes adding annotations to your digital binder simple. In today's post we will take you through the latest annotation features available and will even include a short video to show you how it all works.

Annotations with a Difference

Our range of annotations include the ability to highlight important text, add comments, create document reference links and even completely redact confidential information (ensuring no trace-ability) from your pdf binder.

But that's not all. With our unique design you can do so much more with annotations. What's this you ask?

When introducing new features we give a lot of thought to the way you create and build binders. After all, our aim is to make it as simple and effortless as possible. For that reason we have designed annotations to be applied to the documents rather than on the completed bundle.

With this there is absolutely no change to the way you apply annotations. Really, the main difference is the amazing flexibility and benefits it offers you! These include:

  • No Annotations Lost. If you apply updates or re-generate your bundle, you don't have to worry about losing any annotations. As they are applied to the documents you can make as many changes as needed and all your annotations will still be there!

  • You Decide What Annotations are Included: With every generation of your bundle, you can choose what annotations are included and added to your bundle.

  • You Decide Who's Annotations are Included: If you are working with others, you can even choose which person's annotations are added to each bundle you generate.

  • Effortlessly Add Private Comments: When working with others on a bundle, you may want to include some personal comments that only you can see. With Bundledocs you can! Not only that, you can choose whether you want to include them or not in each bundle you generate.

  • All-in-one Solution: Bundledocs handles everything from pdf conversion, document bundling, secure sharing, collaboration and annotations. No need to purchase a range of solutions, get Bundledocs and get the results you want!

A New Way to Annotate

Before developing our range of annotation features, we spoke with a number of clients to discover the real pain points of annotations. For many this was dealing with updates and changes to their bundle (once the annotations are already applied).

As many of you know, making changes in Bundledocs in simple. You can easily add documents, make amendments and with one click your entire bundle is instantly re-numbered, re-indexed, re-hyperlinked, re-bookmarked etc. We even have our late inserts feature for times when you want to add documents and not affect the existing table of content and page numbering.

When developing our range of annotations, we wanted to make them as user friendly and flexible as possible. With other solutions, the annotations are added to the final completed bundle. But what if changes are made? All these annotations and all the work you've done is lost when an updated version of your binder is produced.

That just didn't seem right. That's why we developed our annotations with a difference.

For you there is absolutely no change to the way you apply annotations. Simply add your annotations (highlights, comments, redactions, pin-point links etc.) and save. The real difference is we add the annotations to the original documents, rather than on the completed binder. Meaning if you update or re-generate your bundle, nothing is lost. Make as many changes as you need and your annotations will still be there!

A New Way to Move Documents in Bundledocs - Feature Focus

Are you a Bundledocs user? Then we've got great news for you. Our team recently added an amazing new feature to make moving documents even easier!

If you use Bundledocs, you know how quick and easy it is to move documents. All you need to do is drag and drop! But if you thought that was good, wait until you see the new feature we've just added. We know you're going to love it!

Before we jump into showcasing the new way to move documents, let's quickly recap how it's currently done...

  • Move a Single Document: Select the document then drag and drop into place.

  • Move Multiple Documents (at once): Moving multiple documents in one go works similarly. You will simply need to select all files you want to move first, then drag and drop into place. All documents will then be moved in the order in which they are selected.

A New Way to Move Documents

Our team recently added a new feature to help make moving documents even easier. It works great when working with large volume bundles or bundles with loads of documents and sections. So how does it work?

It's simple. Select the files you want, in the order you want them to be moved, then click where you want them to go. No need for dragging and dropping. Just click and everything is moved in a second. We've created a short video so you can see it in action.

We're excited for you to give it a try. Remember, if you have any questions on how it all works, get in touch with our team or download a copy of our complete training manual.

Bundledocs New Feature Release - March 2018

It's hard to believe that March is almost over - where does the time go! On the plus side, that means we've added even more features to Bundledocs. We know you're going to just love them! Ready to see what's new?

As many of you are aware, Bundledocs is fully iManage integrated. This means you can quickly and easily create complete bundles directly from iManage and even save completed bundles back into iManage with the click of a button. What could be easier. To learn more check-out our 'Create an Electronic Binder from iManage - Video' and our '3 Reasons Every iManage User Needs Bundledocs'.

This month, our team have released a number of great new features for our iManage users. You can now choose to upload documents in order of document number, document date, or document description. Better still, this can be done in both ascending and descending order.

That's not all. We have also enhanced our integration piece to allow you create a bundle from any of your templates. This is a great time-saver for those that find themselves repeatedly creating the same types of bundles.

Interested to learn more about our new enhancements? Make sure to get in touch!

Over the last few months, our Development team have been busing rolling out a range of new annotation features. Including the ability to highlight important text, add comments and even completely redact confidential information, ensuring no trace-ability.

Our unique approach to annotations means annotations are applied to the document(s) rather than on the completed bundle. The advantage of this is if any changes need to be applied to the document, your annotations are not lost. It also allows you the flexibility to generate your bundle with or without the annotations included.

In our latest release you now have the ability to add private annotations to your bundle so they're only visible to you. Great when collaboratively working with others. That's not all. When previewing and generating your bundle you also have the option to customise who's annotations you see and what annotation type you want to include in your bundle. Good right?

If you would like a sneak peak of our latest features, make sure to sign up for our next webinar. It's taking place on April 5th at 11.00AM GMT.

Remember, our Development team are always adding new features to help make your life easier. If there is anything you need or would like added, then get in touch. We love hearing your feedback and suggestions, so don't be shy!

Bundledocs Late Inserts Explained - Feature Focus

We've all been there. You have finalized and completed your bundle, only to find new documents arrive in at the last minute. Don't stress. Bundledocs has just the solution for you.

To begin with, if you have yet to send out or distribute your bundles to others, it couldn't be easier. Simply upload your new documents, arrange in order and generate. Your updated bundle is immediately available in seconds.

The issue for many legal professionals out there is when the bundle has been sent out to the other parties relevant to the case - such as other side counsel, Barristers, Judges etc. From that point on, they need to ensure that the original page numbering is not affected (as some parties may have already begun their preparation, noting page numbers etc.).

With Bundledocs unique and powerful Late Inserts feature, these troubles are in the past.

So what is our Late Inserts feature and how does it work?

Bundledocs Late Inserts offers you the flexibility to add missing or late arrival documents into your bundle with ease. Once a document is marked as a Late Insert it will automatically apply alternative numbering to the document and this is then automatically reflected in the updated index page. It doesn't alter or affect your existing page numbering and ensures that all parties are reading from the same page, at all times.

It's incredibly simple and easy to use. So how exactly does it work?

1. Upload. Upload any late arrival or missing documents

2. Mark a document as a Late Insert. Simply select the 'Edit Details' option, select the option 'Is this a late insert document?' and update.

3. Generate. Once you have positioned your document where you want it to appear, you are ready to generate. Bundledocs will then handle the hard work for you. It will apply an alternative number scheme on your document and this will be reflected on your index page.

Want to see it in action, we have created a short video to guide you through the process - take a sneak peak now. Video: Bundledocs Late Inserts
